Many people misunderstand the lifespan of a car. All cars have a certain lifespan, and even new ones will eventually reach a point where they are no longer viable, either due to age or mileage.
Do you know how long a car's lifespan is?
Under normal circumstances, many people believe that a car's lifespan is only 300,000 kilometers and that it should be scrapped after reaching that mileage. However, in reality, if you maintain your car properly, it's completely possible to drive it for 500,000 kilometers.
With years of promotion and development, the quality of cars has improved, and the mandatory scrappage mileage has increased to 600,000 kilometers. So, the first thing to mention is that you must pay attention to car maintenance.
Many people say that buying a car is easy but maintaining it is difficult, and that's because a car isn't something you buy and then never spend money on again. Whether it's fuel, maintenance, or repairs, it all adds up to a significant expense. However, these costs are necessary.
Some people think that if their car runs without any problems for some time, they don't need to maintain it anymore. But if a car is not maintained for a long time, it's prone to many issues, such as increased fuel consumption, among others. Besides causing discomfort while driving and contributing to more pollution, neglecting car maintenance can significantly shorten its lifespan.
For cars between 6 and 15 years old, they must undergo an annual inspection. If your private car has been in use for 15 years, you must have it inspected every six months. Therefore, it's essential to remind car owners to pay attention to car maintenance so that your car can be more comfortable and last longer.
In some situations, you should check if your car has any problems! These issues could jeopardize your safety.
If there's a problem with the brakes, you'll usually hear a loud, abnormal noise from outside the car. If the brakes fail while driving, you can use the handbrake as an emergency measure.
Being a large moving machine, you should try to avoid pedestrians and obstacles. Brake failure while driving is a terrifying prospect. In many accidents, brake system failures account for a significant proportion.
Usually, after a long drive, remember not to wash the car immediately. After a long drive, the temperature of components like brake discs will be high. Washing the car with cold water at this time may cause the discs to deform.
Another possible issue is frequent steering wheel shaking. The most serious problem might be a complete brake system failure, which poses a significant safety hazard. In such a situation, you must steer to maintain the car's normal operation.
In stormy weather, if two-thirds of the brake cylinder area is immersed in water for more than 2 hours, the vehicle is prone to veering during braking. It's recommended to check and replace the cylinder promptly. Also, check for oil leaks in the brake oil pipeline and joints; inspect whether parts of the master cylinder are damaged.
Our car's tire pressure monitoring system can automatically monitor tire pressure and temperature in real-time when the car is stationary or in motion. If you don't pay close attention, you'll hardly hear it. You should be vigilant to prevent tire bursts due to incorrect tire pressure. If the tires are deformed, you should take notice. This is a very dangerous situation that can occur at any time.
If it's regular tires, it's best to have them checked and maintained at a specialized repair shop regularly. Bulging may occur commonly. The metal wires inside the tire may have deformed or broken. Continuing to drive could lead directly to a blowout.
If this happens while driving on a highway, the consequences could be even worse. If you encounter a sudden tire blowout while driving, and the spare tire can't be replaced, you should promptly stop and either replace it with a spare tire or call for assistance.
Remember, a well-maintained car is not just a means of transportation but also a guarantee of your safety on the road.
